Auto Insurance Fact Sheet
Texas
Auto Insurance Requirements -The state of
Texas mandates that all auto drivers and vehicle
owners carry the following minimum amounts of coverage
of auto insurance:
- $20,000 for bodily injury or death of 1 person per
accident
- $40,000 for injury or death of 2 or more persons
per accident

All Texans are required to
carry evidence of their insurance coverage in their

identification card provided by your insurer, an
insurance policy, and insurance binder, or a certificate
of self-insurance. |
