link to "The Milepost", a comprehensive travel guide
for Alaska. From here you can find out detailed
information on road construction projects, which generally run
from early May to the end of October in the state. An
excellent "Winter Road Condition Report" is also
included. It describes in a convenient table format the
daily temperature, sky condition, winds, and road conditions
for major highways and areas. Another interesting
feature is their description of the Scenic Byways, including
