Cooper Tire Launching New Line: Avon Tyres in the U.S. & Canada

FINDLAY, Ohio, March 16/ -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has announced plans to launch AVON Tyres USA, a new collection of performance passenger, light truck, sport truck and motorsport tires. The AVON Tyres USA line is the first ever to have been designed and engineered from consumer feedback data.

All data was collected and analyzed by The Tire Rack, the country's largest independent tire tester, To create the U.S. market-specific AVON Tyres USA line, Cooper engineers and designers from Findlay, Ohio, collaborated with Cooper-Avon designers in Melksham, England. The consumer feedback data included noise and comfort requirements, performance preferences and durability insights.

WASHINGTON, DC, March 11/-The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) today posted New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash results for all model year 2004 pickups on their website: www.safercar.gov. The redesigned Ford F-150 is the only 2004 pickup to earn the government’s top rating of five stars for both the driver and right front passenger in the frontal crash.

New 2004 frontal impact ratings for pickups are provided for various models, including the Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab 4x2 four-door pickup, Ford F-150 4x2 and 4x4 regular cab pickup, Ford F-150 Super Crew 4x2 four-door pickup, and the GMC Canyon Crew Cab 4x2 four-door pickup.

Chrysler Group Celebrates Cars, Cigars and Cuisine National Tour
