Average New Vehicle Price Tops $30K for the First
Time says Edmunds.com
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 22- As automakers try to
tempt bargain-hunting car shoppers with generous incentives, both
new vehicle sticker prices and net prices (new vehicle transaction
prices adjusted for incentives) are quietly climbing, according to
Edmunds.com. In
December 2003, the average new vehicle sticker price was climbed to
$30,481, 4.6% higher than in December 2002.
But net prices (the out-the-door price the consumer pays)
have also been climbing, to $26,077 in December of 2003, up from
$24,179 a year earlier.
“Strengthen Child Passenger Safety in Autos!”
Proclaims New Radio Ad
BURNSVILLE,
Minn., Jan. 22- AAA in Minnesota and Iowa, together with Iowa’s
Department of Public Safety, launched a radio ad on January 21st,
2004 aimed at strengthening child passenger safety laws.
The radio ad encourages Iowans to call their local legislator
and ask them to lobby in their support of this legislation.
AAA has identified this issue as a top priority and has been
promoting this issue strongly to their 300,000 AAA members in Iowa.
Dollar Rent A Car Members Earn Triple Miles on
Frontier Airlines
TULSA,
Okla., Jan. 22- Dollar Rent A Car announced on January 22, 2004 it
has joined the Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent flyer
program. Members of the Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent
traveler program are eligible to earn 50 miles per rental day at
participating DOLLAR(R) locations worldwide.
In celebration of this new relationship, EarlyReturns members
will receive triple miles (150 miles per qualifying rental day)
through May 31, 2004, when renting any size vehicle for one day or
more through Dollar.
