Honda FCX with Fuel Cell Stack Proves its
Cold-Start Performance Capabilities
TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 27/ -- Marking a significant

announced that it has conducted a successful cold-weather
demonstration of its FCX fuel cell vehicle equipped with a Honda
Fuel Cell Stack. Demonstrating
the vehicle's cold-weather performance capabilities and its ability
to start in below freezing temperatures has been a major hurdle in
the drive to create a truly mass-marketable fuel cell vehicle.
Testing was conducted at Honda's test track and
other locations. The
FCX successfully started after being parked outside overnight in
temperatures as low as -11 degrees C (+12 degrees F).
Spring Showers Bring Safety Hazards for Drivers
BETHESDA, Md., March 1/ -- Worn out tires and
windshield wiper blades are typical examples of neglected vehicle
maintenance that put drivers and passengers at serious risk during
the rainy months of spring.
Thin tire treads create hazardous driving conditions
when water builds up, causing the tire to hydroplane and lose
contact with the pavement, similar to driving on ice. The simplest
way to check tire tread depth is with a penny. Insert the penny into
the grooves of the tread. If you are able to see all of Lincoln's
head, the tire needs replacement.
